Reading the early chapters of the Revelation I have been challenged by the question;
“What is the Spirit saying to the churches of the Blackpool and South Fylde Circuit?”
If we are to move forward, if we are to grow, then we need to seek answers to this question.
I have also been reading the early chapters of 1 Samuel when God called Samuel and he did not realise at first who was calling to him. When Eli told him that God was calling, he answered God thus
“Speak Lord, for your servant is listening”
Each day in Lent I will light a candle and pray “Speak Lord, for your servant is listening”
Then I will spend five minutes listening for God. I invite you to do the same for your church.
Please take a tea light and light it each day in Lent pray the words
“Speak Lord, for your servant is listening”
Then spend five minutes in silence listening for God
