In 1 Corinthians 13: St Paul writes “Love never ends”.

This is true and that it should offer us comfort . Love is there when we share a house; love is there if we are near neighbours; love is there when we are apart. Love is there when we communicate face to face; it is there when we text, email or skype. Love never ends and so it is there even if there are no obvious ways in which it can be expressed. Love is there when we sit alone and think of a loved one who for whatever reason we cannot see or speak to face to face.

St Paul sums this passage up by writing this
And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.

For love is not just between humans. It is also between the human and God revealed in Jesus and present in the Spirit. If we faith we know that God wills for good in all things. If we have hope we know that one day all will be well and we will be reunited and restored and if we have love we will be able to express that faith, live in that hope and be sustained by the knowledge that love never ends-our love for each other and our love for God.
